The Outpost by Devney PerrySabrina is a journalist who breaks a story, about the Russian Mafia, wide open.. She runs to her best friend who lives in Prescott, Montana. Here she meets Beau and he takes her to a hideaway in the mountains. She is completely out of her element and has so much to learn, while dealing with all the emotions her chosen career and outcomes have lead her to.

Wow! The emotions this book gave me are insane. I really love Sabrina and Beau. At first with the prologue I was worried about the separation, because that is not something I typically enjoy very much in a book. Going in with trust that it would work out was well worth reading this book. Ms. Devney has created a beautiful story with characters that feel real, true and relatable. I can’t even remember how many times I had tears rolling down my face because I felt so much for Sabrina. Sabrina’s experiences were touching and profound. Having to discover who she is and what she really wants in the world, in the face of all the struggles that she continues to go through, touched me deeply. Beau is such a dreamy hero. He has is own stuff going on but continues to be a great support for Sabrina. I love the unconditional acceptance they give each other as they grow. This was a fantastic read! I highly recommend.

Favorite Quote: “A woman could tell a lot by the way a man holds her. She could tell if he had the strength to endure the rougher moments. If he had a mighty yet kind heart. If he could make her feel safe and cherished. Beau’s embrace said all that and more.”
