Saved by the Rancher by Jennifer RyanJenna is on the run from her abusive ex husband David. Her lawyer sends her to live with an old military buddy of his, named Jack, who owns a ranch in Montana. Jack and Jenna are fantastic together. This book is a strong start to an amazing series. I love cowboys and love the trope of girl on the run, so it isn’t surprising how much I love this book. Jennifer Ryan is one of my go-to authors for cowboy romances. Jenna shows so much strength and willingness to fight for what she wants and believes in. Jack is strong, intelligent and doesn’t try to run over her with what he thinks. He gives her a chance to get used to him and gives her a safe place to land. A true protector. Their relationship is everything. I love how much growth they both go through.

This is a page turner with plenty of action to keep you engaged outside of the romance that is taking place. Character development was gracefully done and real. I want to be friends with them! An aspect about this book I loved a lot was that Jenna is a wealthy character who is incredibly nice and genuinely a good person (which I often feel is not how authors portray wealthy people). The secondary characters add a lot to the story and keep me coming back for more.

Favorite Quote: “She ignored the fear and thinking David was coming back to finish her off. She let her thoughts drift to Jack. She held a picture of him in her mind. Thoughts of him lessened the fear and kept her sane.”
