Four Psychos by Kristy Cunning

I haven’t read very much reverse harem, this is maybe only the second or third series since I have stumbled upon the genre that seems to be blowing up. This story in and of itself was unusual. At first I stuck with it simply because I had no idea what was going on, but the writing and story kept me sucked in.

It starts with ghost girl watching in on four guys; Jude, Ezekial, Kai and Gage who are immortal beings and have been together for centuries. She has been watching them for the past five years and feels very close with them. When one of the guys lives is threatened, ghost girl jumps in to save him. This allows the guys to see and talk with her, which starts the “leveling up of her powers.

This book was surprisingly funny with some dark humor. Each of the characters had things about them that I highly enjoyed and times that I sorta wanted to smack them upside the head a little bit. This story was unique with the background of the characters and how much information you really don’t get much of as a reader. Normally I would think this would be annoying, however it really adds to the story and keeps the reader engaged. Book one leaves you guessing with so many things that if you enjoy this story it is impossible to not jump straight into the next one, which luckily is already out.
