Cold Stone Heart by Laura GriffinSara Lockehart is a forensic anthropologist working for the Delphi Center, one of the best in her league. Police detective Nolan Hess works for a small Texas community that has some big national parks where people hike, climb and ride bikes. Some hikers discover a skeleton and Hess calls Sara in. She discovers more than one body. Their relationship deepens, as they race to figure out who the killer is, and if and how many more bodies there are to find.

I love Laura Griffin and the whole Tracer series. The writing is lyrical and weaves a really great foundation to the story and characters. The development of each character is extremely thorough and you feel as if you really know Sara and Nolan throughout the story. The way the come together feels more authentic than some other romance novels and the suspense is just right. I was pleasantly surprised to find out who the killer was, as usually I am very good at guessing who it is right away. This book was an enjoyable read and a great addition to a frickin awesome series.

‘You? Squamish?’ he smiled. ‘You dig up corpses for a living.’ “
